Loreto Magic town – Baja California Sur
Loreto Magic town is a small paradise, isolated from the world, guarded by the Sierra de la Giganta and the sea of Cortez. Here you can see landscapes breathtaking, visit half a dozen islands where you can practice water sports and outdoors, relax in its miles of beaches and see colonial missions. In addition, the nearby Isla del Carmen each winter is visited by the gray whale, a wonderful show for lovers of marine fauna.
Loreto Magic town is the oldest town of the Baja California peninsula, protected by the Sierra La Giganta and the sea of Cortez. The landscape denotes colors that degrade and combined between the blue and the green of the Islands and the sea.
History tells that the father Jesuit Juan María de Salvatierra, was the founder of the first mission in the South of the peninsula which he called “Our Lady of Loreto” in October 1697. Loreto was the starting point to colonize Baja California peninsula.

Loreto has a rich history to learn, as well as various landscapes to explore such as its great beaches where you can go kayaking, snorkeling and sailing. The Islands offer a little something for everyone, as the Isla del Carmen, with wonderful beaches; the island dancing with cliffs that favor the diving and the Catalan Island ideal for environmentalists who like to admire the unique flora and fauna of the place.
Loreto, is an excellent place for sport fishing, where you can catch mahi mahi, wahoo, tuna, dorado among others.
If you prefer the golf course, the village boasts a perfect infrastructure, a professional and modern golf course of 18 holes, located in the tourist corridor Loreto-Nopoló. There are also magnificent favoring the practice of tennis, considered the best in Mexico.

You must travel through the city, visiting missions and its architecture, the Museum of the first mission, as well as golf course and the Professional Tennis Center.
A tour of the la Giganta mountain range, is exceptional, the San Javier mission, founded in 1699 and of course watching the gray whale, where you can reach in just 90 minutes from Loreto place in automobile.
